Limb Dampers are a great innovation on its predecessor, the Alpha Shox.
Limb Dampers are rubber dampeners that sit on the outside of the limbs.

There are 3 types of Dampers available, Limb Damper or Limb Shox and Air Shox.
Limb Damper and Limb Shox fit Carbon Defiant series, Pro Defiant series, Defiant series, Double XL, Prevail series, HyperEdge & PowerMax and some prior years models.
During 2017, Hoyt introduced a different design - Limb Dampers, sometimes referred to as Spider Dampers as they look like Daddy Long Legs and have been installed on most 2017 models that take the Limb Shox but Limb Dampers perform just like Limb Shox and are interchangeable with Limb Shox.
Air Shox, which are no longer available, fit Podium series, Pro Comp FX, Nitrum 30 and bows prior to 2013 but do not fit Freestyle, Tribute, Charger, Ignite, Ruckus, Ruckus Jr.
