All GAS bowstrings are pre-stretched with the GAS proprietary Total Tensioning System (TTS) to ensure zero string creep and serving separation. This process is unlike many bowstring manufacturers, who simply stretch their strings at a set weight. By tensioning their strings throughout the entire building process, GAS create superior stability and zero movement in the final product.

There are various string materials on the market but GAS uses BCY 8125 and BCY 452X exclusively for all their strings and servings as these are proven to work best with their string building process.

Your GAS Bowstrings High Octane String comprises any colour string material, any colour serving material and your choice of BCY 8125 or BCY 452X string material. If you do not state your choice of string material, it will default to BCY-X.

It is important to wax your bow string frequently to protect it from the elements and to minimise string abrasion. Simply apply wax directly to your string or roll some wax in the palm of your hands until it becomes soft, pliant and warm and then run the wax up and down the string. Be careful not to apply excessive wax to the string. Xccelerator Bowstring Wax, Tex-Tite Bowstring Wax and Seal-Tite Bowstring Wax by Bohning are available and can be purchased separately.
