News for the 6 weeks ending March 8, 2013
- Last week our Martin container arrived and we now have more stock of the very popular Martin Exile bow with Fury XT cam which also comes fully loaded in 3 value for money bow packages: a 26 piece complete bow package with hard bow case, 26 piece complete bow package with soft bow case and 9 piece ready to hunt bow package
- We have more Martin Bobcat, Hedgehog compound bow sets and Hedgehog Recurve bow sets. These bow starter packages are very well priced, are ideal for starting out in archery and provide great fun and enjoyment for all ages.
- We received another shipment of quality tanned leather to produce our famous JMR Archery Manufacturing Co archery accessories. Nearly three years ago, we were most fortunate to employ Cherani Fernando to make our quivers, armguards, gloves, etc. The very high standard of Cherani's work has to be seen to be believed. Controlling heavy sewing machines and still producing quality, neat leatherwork is not easy. If you need new gloves or a beautifully locally made back or side quiver, you can't go past our JMR accessories.
- Abbey staff, Grant and Rachel have returned to our Sydney office following their ATA show and Hoyt factory visits.

News for the week ending January 20, 2013
- Hoyt invited Abbey staff, Grant and Rachel to stop by the Hoyt factory on their way home from the ATA Show. They were driven through some very heavy blizzards in Salt Lake City, at the same time as Australia was experiencing scorching weather. They met Randy Walk, president of Hoyt and a member of the Bowhunters Hall of Fame, Mike Luper, director of sales and marketing, Matt B Davis and Aimee Lopez. Here are some pics:

News for the 5 weeks ending January 12, 2013
- We're at the Archery Trade Association Show, in Louisville Kentucky this year and the numbers of both vendors and buyers are expected to be off the charts. Tony, Rachel and Grant have made the long journey to the southern United States and are in attendance. On Sunday they had private meetings with Hoyt and Easton and on Monday, the show started, where the Abbey team ise searching high and low for the latest gear and newest trends in the archery industry, so that we are able to provide Abbey customers with the latest and greatest that the archery world has to offer.

News for the week ending December 4, 2012

- The 2013 Mathews Preview Shipment arrived and all of the new 2013 bows have been shot in the Abbey test lane. The brand new 2013 Creed is as smooth as they come, impressing all of the Abbey Team.
- The new Chill was best described by Tristan, "Like an MR7 on a diet. Super light weight!" A great feature of the Chill is the stock standard Focus grip that comes factory installed.
- For all of the fans of the Z7, the new ZXT is an improvement on such a well renowned bow. Hard to believe, but when we shot the ZXT and Z7 side by side, the ZXT came out on top.
- We have excellent stock of the Hoyt 2013 bows, Chargers, Spyder 30, Spyder 34, Spyder Turbo, and Element G3's are available in both of our store locations. For the target archers out there, the new Pro Comp series by Hoyt are in stock! We have XL models as well in all target colours and cam sizes!
- The 2013 Bear shipment has arrived. Abbey has good stocks of the Motive 6, Anarchy, Empire and Domain. As soon as we have the shipment put away and orders filled, we will be posting reviews of testing the 2013 Bear line.
News for the three weeks ending November 27, 2012
- Update November 6: We have now added all 2013 Mathews target and 2013 Mathews camouflage bows to our store.
- Our 2013 Mathews Preview package order is expected to ship this week, so Mathews bows should be available in both our store locations by the end of next week. Also we have placed our 2013 initial Mathews order and we are expecting to have good stock levels of the new Creed, ZXT, and the McPherson Series Chill before Christmas. We have ordered all sizes and colours available, so feel free to pre-order today.

- Australian Taylor Worth out in archery shoot off at London Olympics.
- Ki Bo Bae of South Korea wins Gold medal in individual women's archery final.
- Taylor Worth defeats Brady Ellison 7-1, in the round of 32.
- With yet another peerless performance, the South Korea Womens Team won their seventh Gold medal.
- Teenage archery sensation Elisa Barnard bows out.
- Aussie shooter Taylor Worth shot a PB prior to the first round of the Olympics competition.
- Michele Frangilli, Marco Galiazzo and Mauro Nespoli of Italy took the Gold medal in the Mens Team event, USA took silver and world champions, South Korea, the bronze.

- We have just received the long awaited new model Slick Trick ViperTrick 4 blade broadhead 100gr 3 pack. This head has a massive 1.94" cutting diameter and promises to be most popular. The ViperTrick also comes in a 125 grain head which is in stock. We have good stocks of all Tricks including Slick Trick Standard 125 grain broadhead and Slick Trick Magnum 125 grain broadhead.
- More stocks of TightSpot 5 arrow 1 piece bow quiver have arrived. This quiver is over 10% lighter than last year's model and the quality from this Montana, US company has got to be seen to be believed. - We wish to announce the retirement of our long serving assistant manager of our Brisbane store, Keith Munday who has been with us since our store launch. Please drop in and say hello to Keith before he retires later this month. We thank Keith and wish him a long and happy retirement.

Abbey enjoyed a happy association with Shibuya and is most pleased that this relationship has been renewed.
