In 2007 at the NAA and FITA Star Flight Championships on the Bonneville Salt Flats Flight Range in the US, a Martin Savannah crushed the flight record. While testing the prototype of the Savannah Longbow, Larry Hatfield broke the US National and World Flight Record by surpassing the old mark by a whopping 25 yards. Larry has been the General Manager of Martin's Howatt traditional bow plant at Yakima in Washington state, USA for 43 years. World Record Holder Larry Hatfield has dedicated his career to the quality of Martin's traditional line. His 43 years at Martin Archery has kept the traditional bowyer's art alive, so you can have the best bow available.

Limbs, crafted from bubinga cores and zebra laminates, are designed to offer a brace height that delivers speed while eliminating shock and vibration associated with many traditional designs.

The Savannah’s riser is made from bubinga with laminated maple highlights and features a slim, comfortable grip for consistency and accuracy.
