TruAngle S24 Files Broadhead Hone Description
The problem of achieving the correct angle when sharpening a broadhead has been eliminated with the TruAngle Broadhead Hone with its two angled files. These files allow both edges of the broadhead to be sharpened at the same time at special honing angles of approximately 21 degrees from the flat of the blade. The broadhead hone is designed to produce accurate sharpening angles and align the broadhead so you can easily sharpen two and four carbon or stainless steel blades at a time.
Now anyone can sharpen and re-sharpen their broadheads as no special skill is required because the TruAngle does the work for you.
Most broadheads come with angles which are too high for truly sharp edges. This S-24 sharpener is designed to quickly change the factory angles on new broadheads and for final honing.
Tru Angle only use high quality files in the S-24 sharpener for long-lasting service. This file also works great for initial sharpening of very dull heads. When a broadhead has been sharpened, you can perform a test to see if it is sharp - broadheads will normally shave hair on your upper arm.
This is the fastest tool for quick burr removal and establishing consistent angles on 2 and 4 bladed broadheads. There is no need to unscrew your broadhead from your shaft as the S-24 sharpens all broadheads while still on the arrow shaft.
A great product to carry with you in the field during hunts to easily touch up your broadheads and keep them razor sharp.
Simple to use, just strop the broadhead across the two files in a forward motion towards the narrow, pointed tang, applying downward pressure to the broadhead and after a number of strokes, the edges of your broadhead will become razor sharp. Never pull backwards on the files as this will quickly dull the files.
The S-24 sharpener is mounted on a wood platform and comes complete with comprehensive illustrated instructions. The Tru-Angle model S2-4 fine sharpener is for sharpening solid broadheads, especially effective on Zwickey Black Diamond Delta & Eskimo, Magnus, Bear Razorheads & Super Razorheads and most other popular broadheads.

A Nicholson flat bastard file is manufactured from high grade carbon file steel, with teeth configuration between a rough or coarse file and a second cut file, irregular - it can neither be classified as a coarse file or a second cut file. In precise terms, a bastard file is one cut finer than a coarse file. By definition, a bastard is an illegitimate child, one born out of wedlock, however it also alludes to something that is unusual, irregular or disproportionate and it is this latter meaning that defines a bastard file. When used for a file, the word bastard means irregular, in other words, a file that can neither be classified as a coarse file or as a second cut file.
