Hold scale by loop holder, so scale hangs freely. Ensure indicator pin reads zero prior to weighing. Attach your arrow to a spring-loaded clip, which has two tapered, serrated jaws resembling an alligator's are forced together by a spring to make them grip arrow. The jaws are nickel-plated steel and open 4.8 mm or 0.188" wide at mouth. Just hold steady until indicator pin comes to rest, indicating the correct weight. Touch or bump scale once or twice to confirm that the exact weight is showing.
