This revolutionary noise and vibration-dampening device called the String Tamer, stops the forward motion of the bow string after an arrow is released and ensures the string abruptly stops at it's natural resting point. As well, it allows for a smoother, quieter shot without any string twang and increases accuracy without the fear of string slap or excess bow movement.

The String Tamer provides an archer the additional benefits of reduced hand shock with the elimination of string slap. String Tamer screws onto the rear stabiliser bushing and eliminates string vibration and noise by stopping the string's forward motion dead in its tracks. There is also a model that can be attached to the front of the bow by screwing into the front stabiliser hole, so you enjoy the benefits of a stabiliser and a String-Tamer. Compatible with many bows, including Bear, BowTech, Elite, High Country, Martin, Mathews, PSE and Ross for both target and hunting applications. Because brace heights vary between bows, the String Tamer will not fit all bows.

The "stopper" or bumper makes contact with the bow string and is a blend of durable materials which are impervious to temperature changes - whether it is extremely hot or cold, the String Tamer will perform as designed.

The String Tamer gives you the option to remove other string mounted silencers which add weight to the string and decrease the fps (speed) of your bow and it comes with sufficient serving material to serve the string where it meets the bumper of the String Tamer, to help reduce the chance of wear.

The basic String Tamer model has the widest range of adaptability - it will fit bows with a brace height range between 5.75" to 8.0", so it shrinks down to 5.75" but will span as far as 8.0" in length - all you do is measure the distance from the rear stabiliser bushing to the bow string to ascertain the best fit for your bow. The minimum length of the rod is 14.25cm or 5.6" and weighs a mere 104.3gms or 3.68oz. The Tamer colour is black.

Easily mounts to the bow with a 1-4" Allen wrench. Shaft adjusts to the string using a 5-64" Allen wrench.
