Book Total Archery Description
Total Archery by former Australian Olympic coach, KiSik Lee & Robert de Bondt.
Born in Kyeungnam, South Korea on 2nd July 1957, coach KiSik Lee described by the FITA magazine The Target as a legend amongst coaches and the coach with the golden touch, has now put pen to paper to share his unrivalled coaching knowledge with the rest of the archery world.
KiSik Lee has one of the proudest coaching records in history. His influence on archery over the last twenty years has been unparalleled and KiSik Lee has proven himself to be one of the most successful archery coaches in training Olympic and World Champions and medallists. Between the 1984 Los Angeles and Sydney 2000 Olympics, he played a hand in nine of the eighteen Olympic Gold Medals - a feat unequalled.
KiSik Lee has proven that he can coach archers other than South Koreans to achieve great success and Australian Simon Fairweather's individual gold medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, David Barnes' bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships and Tim Cuddihy's Cadet and Junior World Championships in 2002 and 2004 and bronze medal at the Athens 2004 Olympics are proof of this.
In 1997, Lee moved to Australia with his family and along with his family, became Australian citizens. He was poached by US Archery in 2006 to become the US Olympic Coach and now divides his time between USA Archery and his Australian interests.
KiSik Lee has, over the last 25 years, invested an enormous amount of time in the study of body control, maximising biomechanical principles, mental concentration and the many other elements that are essential to becoming an elite archer.
There is a glowing foreword by former FITA President, Jim Easton who said the archery world will benefit immeasurably by learning about Coach Lee's innovative methods, knowledge and skills in developing high-level archers with gold medal results.
A second foreword has been penned by Michael Scott, the Director of the Australian Institute of Sport.
