ABOUT MARTIN ARCHERY

Martin Archery, Inc started in 1951. Located in the beautiful Walla Walla valley, nestled below the Blue Mountains of south eastern Washington State, USA, Martin Archery is a family owned and operated business. As avid archers, founders Gail and Eva Martin turned what was a hobby into a fledgling family business when they began producing and selling fine quality arrows. A few short years later, Gail designed a bowstring manufacturing process that provided high volume yet precision production of bowstrings for a growing archery market. Accessory lines were added as Martin became a full line archery distributor.

The acquisition of Damon Howatt Archery in 1976 firmly established Martin Archery as a full line bow manufacturer. A successful bowyer since the 1930's, Damon Howatt was world renowned for pioneering the techniques used to laminate wood and fibreglass. Howatt bows were well known for their craftsmanship, beauty and performance. As a Martin subsidiary, the Damon Howatt facility remains at its original Yakima, Washington location and produces compound bow components in addition to a line of traditional bows that carry on the Howatt name and is managed by Larry Hatfield, a successful and experienced bowyer.

Martin Archery remains at the forefront of modern archery technology and experience, offering a complete line of archery equipment for the traditionalist and modern archer alike. Over the years, the Martin design team has introduced many innovations that today are standard on many brands of bows. Martin's Bengal and Cheetah introduced in 2007, are very popular models that have been well accepted by bowhunters both in the US and here in Australia and these bows have received very favourable reviews from archery experts.
